Dentistry
At Hallam Park Animal Hospital we set aside 20 minutes for a standard routine consultation and 40 minutes for longer non standard cases. This gives you plenty of time to discuss any questions or concerns regarding your pet as well as collect blood and have them analysed whilst at the clinic. During our consultations the vet will gather an up to date medical history, conduct a physical exam and create a personalised treatment plan specific to your pet. We tailor our treatment plans for the individual pet and owner, and our vets will be dedicated to finding the best outcome for you both.
We offer 5 levels of dental procedures, specific to your pets dental condition:
Package 1: Includes general anaesthetic, hospitalisation, fluid therapy, comprehensive oral health assessment, comprehensive dental x-rays, complete scale and polish, pain relief and a FREE check up appointment 7 days after the procedure.

During your discharge, the vet will discuss the results of the comprehensive oral health assessment, dental X-Rays and before and after photos. They will also discuss at home oral care to maintain the condition of your pet’s teeth following the procedure.
Benefits of Dental X-Rays: In an external oral and dental assessment, the vet or nurse can only see above the gum line. Dental x-rays allow us to look under the gum and diagnose any problems affecting the tooth root such as abscesses. Cats in particular benefit greatly from dental x-rays as they are prone to resorptive lesions. This common condition is where the hard dentition of the tooth is irreversibly eroded away leading to gum irritation and oral pain. These lesions can be located under the gumline and are only visible on x-rays.
