  • Physical examination
  • Discussion of daily routines
  • Assessment of mobility, appetite, and comfort levels
  • Use of quality of life scales to objectively measure your pet’s condition

Palliative Care

We offer tailored palliative care plans to keep your pet comfortable, which may include:

  • Pain management
  • Nutritional support
  • Environmental modifications

Peaceful Euthanasia

When the time comes, we provide a peaceful and dignified euthanasia service in our clinic, ensuring your pet’s comfort throughout the process.

Aftercare and Cremation

We can assist with aftercare arrangements, including cremation services, to honour your pet’s memory.

When Is It Time?

Knowing when to say goodbye is one of the hardest decisions pet owners face. Some signs that it may be time to consider euthanasia include:

  • Chronic pain that cannot be managed
  • Inability to eat or drink
  • Loss of interest in favourite activities
  • Incontinence or inability to move without assistance
  • More bad days than good

We recommend using a quality of life scale to help assess your pet’s condition over time

A score below 35 on Dr Alice Villalobos’ scale may indicate it’s time to discuss end-of-life options.

Our compassionate team is here to support you through this difficult process, providing guidance and care every step of the way.
