When Is It Time?
Knowing when to say goodbye is one of the hardest decisions pet owners face. Some signs that it may be time to consider euthanasia include:
- Chronic pain that cannot be managed
- Inability to eat or drink
- Loss of interest in favourite activities
- Incontinence or inability to move without assistance
- More bad days than good
We recommend using a quality of life scale to help assess your pet’s condition over time
A score below 35 on Dr Alice Villalobos’ scale may indicate it’s time to discuss end-of-life options.
Our compassionate team is here to support you through this difficult process, providing guidance and care every step of the way.
