Kittens:

For both puppies and kittens:
- Regular weight checks every 2-4 weeks

- Tick prevention as needed, based on your local area
Safe Early Socialisation
Early socialisation is crucial for puppies between 8-18 weeks and kittens between and 3-9 weeks, respectively. To minimise disease exposure risk while socialising:
- Start at home with gentle handling and exposure to various textures, sounds, and experiences
- Invite vaccinated, healthy pets and people to your home
- Use puppy or kitten preschool/kindergarten classes run by professionals in clean, controlled environments
- Avoid public areas frequented by unknown animals until fully vaccinated
- Focus on positive experiences and never force interactions
- Use treats and praise to create positive associations with new experiences
Remember, the goal is to create confident, well-adjusted pets through safe, controlled exposures to a variety of stimuli
